Grove Contemporary Art

A new gallery to showcase art and artists from the South West

Grove Contemporary Art is a new venture designed to complement our existing antiques business. The Gallery opened to the public in August 2009 and has seen a growing interest in the work of living local artists. Many of the works depict familiar views of the coast and countryside of the South West presented in a variety of media.

The Gallery is housed in our 'ballroom' at the top of this lovely Regency Townhouse in the centre of Honiton. The ballroom has spectacular views over Dumpdon Hill and with its soft northern light provides an excellent showcase for paintings and artworks.

Our aim is to actively support the work of new and emerging artists from a wide area of the South West as well as to exhibit works by those more established in this part of England. All are chosen because we believe they are worthy of recognition and a wider audience and that their work will prove to be a good investment for the future.

We will be hosting regular exhibitions to highlight either particular artists or particular media such as Textile Art, in the future. We are building a mailing list of those customers interested in having more information on such events; you can leave your contact details with us when you visit.
